Our Spring Raffle 2025 opens on 24th February 2025. By entering the raffle, you can help us support vulnerable horses and be in with a chance to win £4,000.

Raffle style draws
We hold raffles throughout the year.
Draw date
The draw date for the Spring Raffle 2025 is 22nd April 2025.
Winners and prizes
- The prizes for the Raffle are 1st Prize £4,000, 2nd Prize £1,000, 3rd Prize £500. There are no alternatives to any prize.
- Winners are contacted once the draw has taken place.
- We operate a combined online/offline draw ensuring that each entrant has an equal chance of winning each prize. The draw will be conducted by utilising a Random Number Generator in combination with a blind draw in plain sight of staff. The results of the draw are final.
- Prizes are sent out by post within seven working days of the draw taking place.
- Winners’ names, area of residence and corresponding prizes are published on our website and in our newsletter.
- Any uncashed or expired prizes will be treated as a donation six months after the date of issue.
- We reserve the right to amend the prize structure at any time.
- Late entries will be treated as donations.
- Winners will be notified by post, email or telephone no later than two weeks after the draw date. Please keep your ticket number as proof of purchase.
- Winners may be asked to take part in World Horse Welfare PR and promotional activity.
- If a prize is unclaimed after reasonable efforts have been made by World Horse Welfare to contact the winner, then World Horse Welfare will be entitled to dispose of the prize as it thinks fit. The winner has one month after notification to claim the prize

- Based upon the number of entries in our Autumn / Winter Raffle 2024 the average chance of winning a prize for a single ticket is approximately 1 in 14,937.
- Of the £44,811 received in ticket sales in the Autumn / Winter Raffle 2024, 15% went on expenses (including printing raffle tickets and setting up the online raffle within the Gambling Commission’s legal framework), 12% on prizes and 73% came back to Charity to fund our important work.
- Entries must be received by 11th April 2025.
- The draw will be held on 22nd April 2025.
A list of winners will also be published on the website within two weeks of the draw date. These will only be in summary, for example Ms Smith from Berkshire.
Online entries
- To enter the online raffle an entrant must self-certify that they are the required age to play. A confirmation email will be sent to the entrant confirming their numbers in the draw and thanking them for their participation. Random age verification checks are carried out at regular intervals. If an entrant is found to be under the required age their payment will be returned and they will not be entered into the draw.
- Entries must not be bought on behalf of somebody else.
- In order to promote responsible gambling, it is recommended that no more than 100 chances are to be purchased per person for the Raffle.
- Material changes to this raffle are not predicted to happen, but in the event that this occurs you will be notified by email 14 days in advance of any changes.
Data
The World Horse Welfare database is updated with who was sent tickets and who bought tickets.
Cost of entry
£1 per ticket. Players may purchase more than one entry, and payment must be in advance
Multiple entries
The number of tickets is limited to 100 per person.
World Horse Welfare Responsible Gambling
Age verification: It is an offence for raffle tickets or entries to be sold to, or by, a person under 18 years of age. World Horse Welfare Fund may undertake a search with a third party for the purpose of verifying that you are 18 or over.
Any person found to be under 18 years of age automatically forfeits the right to any prize and will have monies paid in relation to the lottery returned to them.
