Rehoming a companion
If you need a companion urgently as you have a horse left alone and stressed, please give use a call on +441953 497238 in office hours.
If you're specifically looking for a Shetland or Miniature companion only, please keep an eye out on our website - these only come up for rehoming occasionally and we are not able to operate a waiting list. The site is updated weekly, usually on a Wednesday afternoon. You can find more information on our "Got a question" page here. Rehoming a ridden, driven or prospect
- Any ridden, driven or prospect horses who are ready to find new homes will be listed on our rehoming pages, which you can find here. Please note that any horses in these categories tend to be very popular and receive a number of applications very quickly. You can find more information about this on our “Got a question” page here.
- Instead of operating a waiting list we ask potential rehomers to keep an eye on our rehoming pages and apply for any horses they are interested in. The site is updated weekly, usually on a Wednesday afternoon. You can find more information on our “Got a question” page here.
- If you haven’t found a suitable horse on our rehoming pages, as well as checking back regularly on our site you might also like to have a look at the websites of other National Equine Welfare Council charities to see if they have ridden horses available for rehoming now – you can find out more here.

Whilst horses are undergoing their rehabilitation we can't say when they might be ready for rehoming or what level of work they will be suited to. Please wait until they appear on our rehoming pages as more detailed information will be available on their profile and you will be able to apply for them then if they sound suitable for you.
