Meet Iris

Iris is a friendly pony with an easy-going nature. She is generally well mannered and good to handle but can be wary in new situations. Iris is a sociable girl who is usually the first to greet you in the field and gets on well with other horses, although she tends to be more submissive in a herd situation. She is an intelligent pony who has been known to escape through electric fence if it consists of only 2 strands and the battery is low. 3 strands of well connected electric fencing will usually deter her. Iris can also suffer from scabby legs so this will need monitoring and treating as required. Although we have not worked Iris at Hall Farm, she was lightly backed in her previous home so we are looking for a knowledgeable home and rider who is capable of bringing her on. She would be ideally suited to a small adult or competent teenager. She will not be suitable for a first pony or novice rider. Iris has a strict maximum rider weight limit of 8.5 to 9 stones.

Important stuff

Iris could be worked in the future.

History

Iris was born at Hall Farm after her pregnant mother came into our care from a welfare situation. Iris was recently returned from loan due to a change in circumstances of her rehomer.
