Meet Sapphire

Sapphire is looking for a non ridden companion home and currently enjoys living out in her field with friends. She is generally a well mannered pony although, if she is worried about something, she does become a little anxious. She would suit someone who is quiet and patient and has a good routine. Sapphire does need her grazing restricted and her weight carefully monitored to prevent laminitis and obesity. The best set up for her would be a home where she can live out as much as possible, with other ponies on the same management. She would require a constant friend as she doesn't like being on her own but, could settle with one or two ponies or in a small herd. Although she prefers to be in the field, Sapphire could be introduced to stabling in a home, so long as she could see her equine friends and would best suit somewhere where there isn't a lot of coming and going.

Important stuff

Sapphire can never be ridden or driven.

All equines in our centres are regularly assessed by a team of experts including a vet, physiotherapist and farrier, and these assessments have found that Sapphire is not suitable to be worked.

History

Sapphire originally came to our Norfolk centre, Hall Farm in 2013 as an RSPCA prosecution. She was successfully rehomed for many years and only reluctantly returned due to a change in circumstances for her rehomer.
