Meet Bella

Sweet little Bella is looking for a home a non-ridden companion due to her confirmation. Bella arrived as part of a welfare case back in 2013 and upon arrival she was very underweight and still feeding her yearling. Bella can lack in confidence in new environments which can make her a little tricky to catch at first but once settled, she is more than happy to have lots the attention and come in for a groom. She is well behaved for our vet and farrier and has also been very good to clip. Though she enjoys coming in for attention and a groom, we do not think that she would be suitable to be handled by young children. Bella can be one of the more dominant mares in the field, but she does still love to play with her friends and mixes well with mares and geldings. Though a little vocal about it, Bella can be stabled, but with enough food to keep her busy, she will soon settle and quieten down. Bella is looking for a home where her friends are also on restricted grazing, as she can gain weight easily. If you think Bella sounds like the perfect friend for your pony, please apply online.

Important stuff

Bella can never be ridden or driven.

All equines in our centres are regularly assessed by a team of experts including a vet, physiotherapist and farrier, and these assessments have found that Bella is not suitable to be worked.

History

Bella came into our care in 2013 as part of a welfare case. Bella was very underweight at the time and was dealing with bad rain scald and a lice infestation.
